Serendipity Movie

This movie is a movie filled with magic of love that brings two beings who have the same love.

John Cusack and Kate Beckinsale play a couple who find each other in a popular New York Department store as they both decide to buy  a pair of gloves for their loved one. They both discover that they have chemistry, but then learn later that they were not meant to meet each other (Beckinasale believes in fate, but Cusack doesn’t) but were not meant to meet just yet.

A dollar bill and a book were to lead them to being together over time. Meanwhile both of them live separate lives after not taking a chance. One day Cusack finds the book and a phone number that will bring the two of them together (the phone number is from a the store receipt Beckinsale had when she bought the book and wrote on when the two parted five years earlier). Talking about bringing two people together? Fantasy or what? I think fantasy, but fun fantasy. Life brings alot of mystery to it, but in terms of fantasy, Hollywood does a good job of doing that.

Beckinsale and Cusack both do admirable jobs on screen, but lack chemistry for some reason. Still, they are able to bring about a sense of wholesomeness and sincerety in their characters and tell the viewer that “yes, we do belong”. The direction is superb as the continuity works, allowing me to become involved with the movie and the young couple who are looking for love and each other. The music is charming and really blends in well with the film. The skate scene towards the end of the movie was breathtaking and genuine (never mind the unrealistic magical, but fun elements it had). I would recommend this movie to anyone looking for romance or to re-ignite romance in their relationship.

There are few movies that can compare to “Serendipity” (“Ghost” being one of the few, but here is another one that dwelves in Hollywood’s fantasy aspects of love). Don’t miss this one in video stores and the library. It’s worth well the took and to all you bachelors out there, this is a great dreaming movie, believe me. Ten kisses, a bouquet of 24 long stemmed roses and a box of light chocolates for “Serendipity”.

previous story in this film is full of surprises and I am very interested by the end of this story
